3D Printing
3D printing is a manufacturing process that creates a physical object from a digital model file. The technology works by adding layer upon layer of material to build a complete object. Your students will get a hands-on experience designing 3D models to be printed in a physical form. Students will design challenges and lessons using TinkerCad.
SESC has two Flashforge Adventurer 3D printers available in our STEM lending library.
When scheduling the 3D printers SESC will provide teachers with TinkerCad professional development and set up the 3D printers in your classroom. 3D printers are scheduled related to student class size for an extended amount of time to ensure each student has the experience of printing a 3D model.
